This is a dedicated exhibition space in Mitte, near the Museeninsel. The building is emblazoned with two big flags and is at the back of the building’s courtyard. There’s a nice-looking bar and some seats in the courtyard.

It’s bleeding edge contemporary art by new artists. The art is often installation specific. The occasion I was there, it was a New Zealand artist, Michael Stevenson, had the ground floor and the extension, and a variety of artists on the upper floors.

This gallery is one of those that doesn’t put descriptions on the walls, so you need a map to tell you who did what and what it’s called! Even then, that might not help, so you could consider the guided tours. The gallery staff are very good and will tell you what you’re looking at.

The highlight for me was Michael Stevenson’s recreation of the seminar room where Peter Thiel (facebook, AirBnB and PayPal) expounded his thinking, which was contrasted with the seminar room of a religious cult.

The other exhibition had another seminar room exhibit: “Bad Drivers”! Each desk had an impressively bound copy of a volume of “Bad Drivers”, volume 1 “The Names”, volume 2 “The Offences” and so on.

I’m a big fan of convection so here’s some

The gallery needs you to book, but took me on the same day. Closes at 18h. You need a mask and some good Internet! I couldn’t get any reception to download my e-tickets so I had to go back out.
